Qualifications &

- Requirements

- Education: Bachelors Degree in Mining Engineering/Geologist (preferably from reputed Institution)

- Experience: 3+ years of direct experience in open-cast (surface) mining. (Preferably Coal Mine with +5 MTPA production or 15 MBCM material handling)

- Technical Proficiencies:

- Advanced competency in 3D mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Minex, Spry, SURPAC, Vulcan, or Global mapper).

- Strong familiarity with AutoCAD and scheduling optimization programs.

- Certification: Second Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (Preferable).

- Good knowledge of coal mining operations and mine planning.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Good coordination and communication skills.

- Ability to prepare daily, weekly, and monthly mining plans.

- Knowledge of mine safety requirements and operational procedures.

- Ability to work effectively with field and operations teams.

- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of relevant mine planning/survey software will be an advantage.

- Ability to work in a site-based mining environment.

3. Key Responsibilities

- Implementation of Monthly Mine Plan

- Equipment deployment plan and its monitoring

- Lead &
- Lift control and its optimization.

- Infrastructure and its relocation plan.

- Monitoring of Mining Area for implementation of plan.

- Coordination with Operations Team

- Safety Parameters





- Ensure that all mining plans and activities comply with applicable safety standards and mine safety requirements.

- Monitor safety parameters during excavation and other mining activities.

- Coordinate with the Safety Department to address potential hazards and ensure secure mining practices.

- Daily Feedback &

- Reporting

- Collect daily operational data and provide feedback regarding mining activities.

- Prepare and submit daily progress reports to the concerned management.

- Highlight deviations from the planned targets along with reasons and corrective actions.

- Marking of Boundaries

- Carry out and coordinate the marking of mine boundaries, excavation limits, and other required demarcations.

- Ensure boundary markings are clearly maintained and followed by the operations team.

- Coordinate with the survey team wherever required.

- Preparation of Weekly Digging Plan

- Prepare detailed weekly digging plans based on the monthly mine plan and operational requirements.

- Coordinate with the operations team for effective implementation of the weekly digging plan.

4.

Additional

Responsibilities

- Maintain proper planning records, drawings, reports, and mine-related documentation.

- Monitor actual progress against planned production and excavation targets.

- Support management in identifying operational improvements and optimizing mining activities.

- Ensure effective communication between the planning and operations teams.

- Perform any other planning-related duties assigned by the Planning head / Management.
