Fogiene is [one line about the company]. We're hiring a Microbiologist to join our ISO 17025 lab team and deliver accurate, compliant test results.

Key Responsibilities

- Test food and water samples as per IS, ISO, AOAC, APHA, and BIS methods (TPC, coliform, E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria, yeast & mold, other pathogens)
- Operate autoclaves, incubators, laminar flow hoods, and pH meters
- Maintain test records, logbooks, and worksheets in line with ISO 17025
- Calibrate and maintain lab equipment; keep calibration records and control charts
- Follow GLP and biosafety practices; keep the lab clean and sterile
- Support internal audits, proficiency testing, method verification, validation, and measurement uncertainty studies




- Prepare culture media, manage reagent stock, and maintain the culture collection
- Assist in developing new test methods and guide junior staff and interns

Requirements

- M.Sc. / B.Sc. in Microbiology or a related life science
- 2-3 years of experience in food/water microbiology testing
- Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and aseptic techniques
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail

Preferred

- Experience in a NABL-accredited lab
- Exposure to method verification
