Role Description The Merchant Acquisition Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Uttar Pradesh, India. This role is responsible for identifying and onboarding new merchants to ICICI Bank’s payment and banking solutions, including POS terminals, digital payment platforms, and related services. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting merchant leads, conducting meetings and presentations, explaining product features and pricing, and ensuring timely completion of documentation and compliance requirements.

The specialist will maintain solid relationships with merchants, resolve service issues, coordinate with internal teams for seamless activation, and track performance metrics and market trends.



The role also involves achieving acquisition targets, supporting marketing campaigns, and representing ICICI Bank in local business communities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and a solid understanding of Finance for evaluating merchant profiles, assessing risk, and interpreting data.
- Candidates should possess excellent Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build relationships, negotiate terms, and convey product benefits clearly.
- Candidates should possess proven Customer Service skills to manage merchant queries, provide timely support, and enhance overall satisfaction.
- Candidates should ideally have experience in sales or business development, preferably in banking, financial services, or payments.
- Candidates should have good knowledge of local markets in Uttar Pradesh and comfort working in field-based, target-driven environments.
- Candidates should hold at least a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Candidates should be proficient in MS Office tools and digital platforms, with the ability to prepare reports and presentations.
- Fluency in English and relevant local languages, along with a high level of integrity and adherence to regulatory and compliance standards, is expected.
