Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled MEP Draftsperson to join our MEP Design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and layouts for building services, with drafting experience in one or more of the following disciplines: HVAC, Plumbing/PHE, Fire Protection, and Electrical.

The candidate will work closely with MEP engineers, designers, architects, and other project teams to develop accurate, coordinated, and construction-ready drawings. Candidates with experience across multiple MEP disciplines will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting & Documentation

- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D MEP drawings, layouts, schematics, and details using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or other relevant drafting software.
- Develop drawings for one or more MEP disciplines, including:

- HVAC

- Plumbing / PHE

- Fire Protection

- Electrical
- Translate engineering concepts and design requirements into accurate technical drawings.
- Prepare plans, sections, elevations, schematics, equipment layouts, service layouts, and relevant construction details.
- Revise and update drawings based on inputs from engineers, designers, clients, and project teams.
- Ensure drawings are accurate, clear, properly detailed, and comply with project and company standards.

Team Collaboration

- Work closely with MEP engineers and designers to understand design intent and project requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants as required.
- Communicate drawing-related issues and discrepancies to the relevant team members.
- Support the team in meeting project timelines and deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in MEP drafting,



preferably within an MEP consultancy, architectural/design firm, or construction environment.
- Strong drafting experience in at least one MEP discipline HVAC, Plumbing/PHE, Fire Protection, or Electrical.
- Candidates with working knowledge of two or more MEP disciplines will be preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Understanding of MEP layouts, symbols, service routing, and technical detailing.
- Familiarity with MEP coordination and clash resolution.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work to project deadlines and manage multiple drawing requirements.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working on building projects such as commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, data centres, or mixed-use developments.
- Familiarity with Navisworks and clash detection/coordination.
- Exposure to multidisciplinary MEP coordination.
- Understanding of relevant codes, standards, and project-specific drafting requirements.
- Experience in preparing drawings through different stages of a project, from design development to construction documentation.
