The Medical Lab Technician Trainer is responsible for delivering theoretical and practical training to students enrolled in Medical Laboratory Technology programs. The role focuses on skill development, laboratory safety, diagnostic procedures, and ensuring students are competent to work in clinical laboratory settings.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct classroom lectures on subjects such as hematology, microbiology, biochemistry, pathology, and immunology.
- Provide hands-on training in laboratory techniques, sample collection, processing, and analysis.
- Demonstrate the use of laboratory instruments and diagnostic equipment.
- Train students in quality control procedures and lab safety protocols.
- Supervise students during practical sessions in the teaching laboratory.
- Ensure proper handling of specimens, chemicals, and biomedical waste.
- Maintain discipline and adherence to biosafety and infection control guidelines.
- Conduct internal assessments, practical exams, and viva sessions.
- Evaluate student performance in both theory and practical competencies.




- Guide students in completing logbooks, case studies, and project work.
- Provide academic support and mentorship to help students improve their skills.

5. Clinical Coordination

- Coordinate with hospital laboratories for student clinical postings and internships.
- Ensure students gain exposure to real-time diagnostic lab workflows.
- Monitor student performance during clinical rotations.
- Maintain attendance records, assessment reports, and training documentation.
- Support academic audits and accreditation processes (NABH/NAAC/University norms).

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT)

Experience:

- 2–3 years of experience in a clinical diagnostic laboratory
- Prior teaching or training experience preferred
