Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer – Design & Drafting to join our Engineering Department. The candidate should have solid knowledge of AutoCAD, mechanical drawing, equipment design, fabrication drawings, and preparation of Bill of Materials (BOM).

The candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering drawings and designs for mechanical equipment and systems, coordinating with the production/site team, and ensuring that drawings and BOMs are accurate and comply with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare 2D mechanical drawings and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop General Arrangement (GA), assembly, fabrication, and detailed component drawings.
- Prepare and modify mechanical designs as per project requirements and site conditions.
- Prepare accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for mechanical equipment and assemblies.
- Prepare material specifications, component details, and quantity requirements.
- Understand engineering drawings, technical specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication requirements.
- Design and prepare drawings for belt conveyor systems, structures, chutes, hoppers, bunkers, rollers, pulleys, supports, and other mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate with the production, purchase, quality, and site teams for execution of drawings and designs.
- Review drawings and ensure accuracy before releasing them for fabrication/production.




- Make necessary modifications/revisions in drawings based on site requirements and engineering changes.
- Assist in preparation of technical documents, equipment specifications, and material requirements.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, BOMs, and technical documents.
- Visit project sites whenever required for measurements, inspection, and understanding of site conditions.
- Ensure that all drawings are prepared according to applicable engineering standards and project specifications.

Required Technical Skills
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD 2D is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of mechanical design and drafting.
- Ability to prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed part drawings.
- Strong knowledge of BOM preparation and material calculation.
- Good understanding of mechanical components, fabrication, welding, structures, and equipment.
- Knowledge of belt conveyor systems and mining equipment will be an added advantage.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office for preparation of BOM, material statements, and technical documents.
- Knowledge of 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks / Creo / Inventor will be an advantage.

Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
