About the Role

We are a project-based engineering company providing end-to-end electromechanical system solutions, with expertise in electrical, electronics, software, automation, and system integration. We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineering professional to build and manage the mechanical engineering capability for our projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand and define mechanical requirements during customer discussions and project enquiries.
- Develop/validate mechanical concepts and review designs, drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
- Select appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical components.
- Evaluate and technically qualify mechanical vendors/partners.
- Review and validate vendor quotations, costing, timelines, and technical proposals.
- Identify all mechanical cost elements including machining, fabrication, welding, anodising, plating, coating, heat treatment, tooling, inspection, etc.
- Support commercial negotiations with mechanical suppliers based on technical understanding.
- Ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, reliable, and meet applicable standards.
- Coordinate mechanical requirements with electrical, electronics, software, procurement, quality,



and project teams.
- Support prototype, manufacturing, inspection, FAT/SAT, and site activities.
- Develop mechanical engineering checklists, standards, costing methods, and vendor database.

Desired Experience & Skills

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 8–15 years of experience in machine building, industrial automation, special-purpose machines, electromechanical systems, or similar project-based industries.
- Strong knowledge of machining, sheet metal, fabrication, welding, materials, tolerances, GD&T;, surface treatments, and DFM/DFA.
- Ability to read and review 2D drawings and 3D CAD models.
- Strong understanding of mechanical costing and manufacturing processes.
- Experience in vendor development, technical evaluation, and negotiation.
- Valuable customer-facing and project coordination skills.

Key Objective To establish strong in-house mechanical engineering capability so that we can confidently understand customer requirements, estimate mechanical costs, validate vendor designs/quotations, negotiate with suppliers, and successfully deliver complete electromechanical systems.
