Key Responsibilities

Create 2D and 3D mechanical designs using SolidWorks / AutoCAD.

Design jigs, fixtures, tooling, gauges, machine components, and assemblies.

Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances, materials, and specifications.

Understand customer requirements, RFQs, and technical drawings.

Perform basic design calculations and select suitable materials/components.

Coordinate with production, machining, fabrication, and quality teams.

Modify designs based on manufacturing requirements and customer feedback.

Prepare BOM, part drawings, assembly drawings, and revision details.

Support prototype development, trial, inspection, and final implementation.

Visit customer sites when required for measurement, installation, or technical support.

Ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and suitable for manufacturing.

Required Skills

Good knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Knowledge of mechanical drawing and GD&T.;

Understanding of machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly processes.

Basic knowledge of materials, fasteners, bearings, pneumatic components, etc.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

Positive problem-solving and communication skills.
