Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mechanic who can handle sewing machine maintenance and repair along with basic electrical maintenance in a garment manufacturing environment. The candidate should be capable of troubleshooting machine issues, carrying out preventive maintenance, and ensuring smooth day-to-day production operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Repair, service, and maintain industrial sewing machines.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues in sewing machines and related equipment.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance to minimize machine breakdowns.
- Handle basic electrical repair and maintenance work.
- Identify and rectify electrical faults in machines, switches, wiring, motors, and other equipment.
- Attend urgent machine breakdowns and restore machines with minimum downtime.
- Maintain and replace machine parts, motors, belts, needles, bobbins, and other components as required.
- Ensure all machines are properly adjusted and operating efficiently.
- Maintain records of machine repairs, maintenance, and spare-parts requirements.
- Coordinate with the Production team regarding machine-related issues.




- Follow workplace safety procedures while performing mechanical and electrical work.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of industrial sewing machines and their repair/maintenance.
- Basic to positive knowledge of electrical wiring, motors, switches, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
- Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to machine breakdowns.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and electrical safety.

Preferred

- Experience in a garment/apparel manufacturing unit will be preferred.
- Experience with different types of industrial sewing machines will be an advantage.
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related trade will be an added advantage.
