Position:Manufacturing Engineer(Modeling ,Assembly ,Routing)

Master layout (MLO) project

MLO is a Virtual Representation of our Products in NX. MLO engineers are responsible for certifying products to Class 3, collobarating with DE/NPME/ME/GPS

Single Point of Contact for DE / NPME / MLA Champions

Ensure team adherence to MLO standards / solid modeling best practices & tools / MLA checklists

Execute MLO Work Requests

Communicate status of Class 3 MLO to DE/NPME Champions

2D to 3D conversion project scope in CAD tools

Parametric 3D model & drawing creation

Quality: No of issues identified by DE/DDC teams

Scope of Work

Detailed Deliverables (NPI/HVM/TND/CABC/Shell Modelling)

The MLO engineer is responsible to make sure the CAD models (kit/Assembly, Option, Options class, etc..) are MLO class 3 compliant w.r.t MLA checklist 0250-61582/0250-61583

Review MLO WR to validate the scope and seek clarification

Perform MLO Audit per MLA checklist 0250-61582

Record/capture all the MLO audit issues in MLO WR application

Log virtual issues (potential NCs) in Pivot database & add Pivot numbers in MLO WR Database For any OEM parts Creation/Modification & Qualification, create OEM Component Request For resolution, colloborate with DE, NPME, ME & other stakeholders

Resolve, implement the manufacturing & customer issues like design improvement, recent design release, cost reduction, DFx, Design corrections, BOM changes, partnering with NPME/ME/DEs





Fix all the MLO audit issues as per MLA checklist 0250-61583

Create Routing / Phantoms as per requirements for Cable & Harness

Work with GIS to fix .jt issues

Internal peer review before submission to MLO WR approver

Get the MLO WR signoff from the requestor/approvers & make sure the MLO revisions are released through ECR or Teamcenter workflows by working with appropriate stake holders

Adhere to SLA Metrics

Performs other duties as assigned. Duties will vary according to the project in progress and/or the specific goals of the department in which the incumbent works

LTCA

Makes recommendations for BOM issues (Fasteners, O-Rings, Gaskets, Hoses, etc..)

Champions issue resolution. Determines root cause analysis for issues that arise during MLO audit & fix, provides Long term corrective action

Key Skills

Should be proficient in UG-NX, TcE, Vis view, Creo, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor etc.

Creation of Assembly and BoM in CAD tools

Large assembly management & assembly sequence

Knowledge on Manufacturing standards

Knowledge on Engineering Change Management

Able to read schematic & create flexible routing (Electrical/mechanical)
