Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Manager – Treasury & Banking to manage and coordinate the company’s treasury, forex, banking, and funding activities.
The role will be responsible for:
- Managing the company’s foreign exchange exposure.
- Managing USD inward remittances and forex-related transactions.
- Handling USD/INR forward hedging activities.
- Coordinating with banks and financial institutions.
- Managing working capital, term loans, and trade finance requirements.
- Coordinating bank funding proposals and credit facilities.
- Managing banking documentation and compliance requirements.
- Preparing Treasury & Banking MIS and management reports.
- Monitoring banking costs, facility utilization, repayment schedules, and covenants.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable FEMA/RBI requirements, bank requirements, and internal approval processes.
Key Responsibilities1. Forex Exposure & Hedging Management
- Maintain an updated record of all foreign currency receivables.
- Track expected USD inward remittances and realization dates.
- Monitor outstanding foreign currency receivables.
- Monitor the company’s overall foreign currency exposure.
- Identify exposures that require hedging as per the company’s forex policy.
- Obtain USD/INR spot and forward quotations from authorized dealer banks.
- Compare quotations received from different banks.
- Analyze appropriate hedge timing and tenure.
- Recommend hedge coverage to the CFO / Finance Head.
- Execute approved forex forward contracts.
- Maintain records of:
- Booked contracts
- Utilized contracts
- Outstanding contracts
- Matured contracts
- Rolled-over contracts
- Cancelled contracts
- Ensure forex transactions are backed by eligible underlying exposures.
- Ensure that no unauthorized or speculative forex positions are undertaken.
- Monitor forward contract maturity dates.
- Take timely action for utilization, rollover, or other required transactions.
1. Inward Remittance Management
- Monitor expected USD inward remittances.
- Coordinate with Accounts and relevant departments for timely realization.
- Coordinate with banks for:
- Receipt of foreign currency
- Currency conversion
- Settlement
- Required documentation
- Monitor foreign currency conversion rates.
- Review bank spreads and charges.
- Track actual INR realization.
- Maintain records of:
- Foreign currency received
- Exchange rates
- INR realization
- Bank charges
- Related transactions
- Coordinate with Accounts for reconciliation.
- Ensure accurate accounting of foreign currency receipts.
1. Forex Market Monitoring & Treasury Advisory
- Monitor daily USD/INR movements.
- Track forward premiums.
- Monitor relevant interest-rate developments.
- Track important forex market trends.
- Maintain regular communication with bank treasury desks.
- Obtain market updates and forex quotations from banks.
- Provide management with updates regarding significant currency movements.
- Highlight upcoming foreign currency exposures.
- Evaluate the financial impact of:
- Hedged exposures
- Unhedged exposures
- Support management in treasury-related decision-making.
- Track realized and unrealized forex gains/losses.
- Prepare periodic forex analysis for Management.
1. Banking & Funding Management
- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for:
- Working capital facilities
- Term loans
- Trade finance
- Bank guarantees
- Letters of credit
- Other approved funding requirements
- Support management in obtaining new banking facilities.
- Coordinate facility:

- Enhancements
- Restructuring

- Coordinate with multiple banks for facility proposals.

- Prepare, compile, review, and submit documentation required by banks.

- Cash-flow statements

- Identify opportunities for better utilization of banking limits.

Prepare and maintain periodic Treasury & Banking MIS covering:

- Bachelor’s degree in:

- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is also applicable.
- MBA – Finance, CA Inter, CFA, Treasury/Forex certification, or similar professional qualification will be an advantage.
Experience Required
- 5–8 years of relevant experience.

- Practical experience in USD/INR forward hedging is essential.
