About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to lead client engagements, manage and develop our team, and act as a trusted advisor to our clients. This is a senior client facing role. You will own the relationship, the quality of work and the timely closure of every engagement in your portfolio.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Client Relationship and Advisory

- Own the relationship with a portfolio of clients and serve as their senior point of contact
- Understand each client's business and advise on accounting, tax and compliance matters with clarity
- Lead client meetings, present findings and communicate confidently with promoters, CFOs and finance teams
- Drive consistent follow ups to ensure data, approvals and decisions come in on time
- Identify opportunities to add value and expand the scope of services for existing clients

Accounting, Finalisation and Reporting
- Review and finalise books of accounts, Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account
- Oversee bookkeeping and Tally management across client accounts
- Review MIS reports, reconciliations and period end closing for vCFO clients
- Ensure financial statements are accurate, compliant and audit ready

Taxation, Audit and Compliance
- Oversee GST compliance, reconciliations and responses to notices
- Supervise TDS compliance, including computation, returns and certificates
- Review Income Tax Returns and computations for individuals, firms and companies
- Lead Tax Audit engagements, including review and sign off readiness of Form 3CD
- Handle assessments, notices and correspondence with tax authorities where required





Team Leadership and Delivery
- Lead, mentor and review the work of Senior Executives and junior team members
- Plan, allocate and track work to meet all statutory and client deadlines
- Set quality standards, review deliverables and ensure nothing leaves the firm without proper checks
- Take full ownership of engagements and ensure they are completed and closed on time
- Build processes and documentation that help the team work efficiently and consistently

What We Are Looking For

- Qualified Chartered Accountant
- 2 to 5 years of post qualification experience, preferably in a CA firm
- Robust command of accounting standards, finalisation, GST, Income Tax, TDS and Tax Audit
- Hands on understanding of Tally, bookkeeping and Balance Sheet and P&L; finalisation
- Advanced Excel skills and a strong hold on MS Office
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in client facing situations
- Strong follow up discipline and the ability to manage multiple clients at once
- A sense of ownership: you take responsibility for outcomes and see work through until it is closed
- Comfortable using AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude or similar) in daily work for drafting, research, review and analysis, and able to encourage the team to use them well
