? Location: Mumbai

? Experience: 7–8 Years Post Qualification

? Qualification: LL.B. | LL.M. will be an added advantage

? Industry: Bank / NBFC / HFC / Financial Institution / Reputed Law Firm

? KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conduct legal due diligence and title verification for real estate and construction finance projects
- Review title documents, land records, approvals, encumbrances and project documentation
- Provide legal advisory on construction finance, project finance and real estate lending transactions
- Handle redevelopment projects, JDAs, MHADA, SRA, CIDCO and other real estate development structures
- Assess litigation, disputes and title-related risks and recommend suitable mitigation measures
- Draft, review and negotiate loan agreements, mortgage documents, guarantees, indemnities and security documents
- Advise on stamp duty, registration requirements, mortgages and security creation
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on title investigations, legal opinions, litigation and documentation
- Work closely with Business, Credit, Risk and Operations teams for timely transaction closure
- Provide legal support during disbursement, security creation and post-disbursement activities
- Track changes in real estate, land and lending regulations and advise internal stakeholders accordingly

? MUST-HAVE EXPERTISE:





✅ Strong experience in Construction Finance / Project Finance / Real Estate Lending

✅ In-depth knowledge of Maharashtra Land Laws and title verification

✅ Hands-on exposure to redevelopment, JDA, MHADA, SRA and CIDCO matters

✅ Strong understanding of RERA, Transfer of Property Act, Registration Act, Maharashtra Stamp Act, Companies Act and Insolvency laws

✅ Ability to independently analyse title documents, conveyance deeds, development agreements and property/revenue records

✅ Ability to read and interpret Maharashtra land records in Marathi, including 7/12 Extracts, Property Cards, Ferfar/Mutation Entries, Village Forms and related revenue records

✅ Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills

✅ Should be able to read and speak Marathi

? Ideal candidates would have relevant experience in an in-house legal function with a Bank, NBFC, HFC, Financial Institution or a reputed law firm, particularly handling real estate and project finance matters.
