Position Title: Category Manager IT Procurement

Location: Naraina, Delhi

Experience Required

1015 years of relevant experience in Procurement / Strategic Sourcing, preferably in IT & Indirect Procurement categories.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced and driven Category Manager IT Procurement to manage end-to-end procurement activities across IT-related categories including hardware, software, AV equipment, and software subscriptions/licenses. The role will be responsible for category strategy, vendor management, sourcing, negotiations, cost optimization, and ensuring procurement process compliance.

The ideal candidate should possess solid commercial acumen, procurement process knowledge, and experience handling complex IT procurement requirements. Exposure to additional indirect procurement categories will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Manage procurement and strategic sourcing for:

IT Hardware (laptops, desktops, servers, peripherals, networking equipment, etc.)

Software procurement and licensing

SaaS / software subscriptions

AV equipment and collaboration tools

IT accessories and related services

Develop and implement category sourcing strategies aligned with business requirements and cost optimization goals.

Lead supplier identification, evaluation, negotiations, contracting, and performance management.

Drive RFx processes including RFI, RFP, RFQ, bid evaluations, and commercial negotiations.

Ensure timely procurement support for business stakeholders while maintaining compliance with procurement policies and processes.

Build robust relationships with internal stakeholders including IT, Finance, Admin, Legal, and Business teams.

Analyze spend patterns, identify savings opportunities,



and drive value creation initiatives.

Monitor supplier performance, SLA adherence, and contract compliance.

Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to IT procurement categories.

Stay updated with market trends, technology developments, licensing models, and supplier landscape.

Contribute to process improvement and digitization initiatives within procurement.

Handle additional indirect procurement categories (if required) such as Facilities, Marketing, Professional Services, Admin procurement, etc.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of procurement lifecycle and strategic sourcing methodologies.

Positive knowledge of IT procurement categories, licensing, and subscription models.

Well-versed with procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiations.

Strong commercial negotiation and analytical skills.

Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a fast-paced environment.

Good understanding of procurement strategy, spend analysis, and cost optimization.

Proficiency in ERP / procurement systems and MS Office tools.

- Robust communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.

MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain or Procurement preferred.

- Certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CIPS will be an advantage.

Preferred Experience

1015 years of experience in IT Procurement / Indirect Procurement.

Experience working with enterprise IT procurement environments.

- Exposure to additional indirect categories will be an added advantage.
