Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile and proactive Mechanical Engineer to spearhead the end-to-end lifecycle of our waste management solutions, with a strong focus on organic waste composting machines, shredders, and sorting systems. This hybrid role bridges technical engineering with commercial acumen, requiring the candidate to oversee machine installation and commissioning, manage ongoing preventive and corrective maintenance, drive technical sales, and serve as the primary point of contact for client coordination.

Key Responsibilities1. Installation & Commissioning

· Lead the on-site installation, alignment, assembly, and testing of waste management systems and organic waste composting machines.

· Ensure all mechanical assemblies, structural layouts, and auxiliary piping/ventilation systems comply with technical blueprints and safety standards.

· Conduct post-installation test runs to calibrate mechanical components (e.g., mixing blades, heaters, shredder shafts, and curing systems) for peak efficiency.

· Deliver hands-on operational and safety training to client operators upon successful handover.

2. Maintenance & Technical Support

· Design and execute scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance (PM) programs to optimize composting machine uptime and lifecycle.

· Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical breakdowns (e.g., motor failures, gearbox jams, hydraulic/pneumatic issues, or heating element faults) and perform rapid repairs.

· Manage an optimal inventory of mechanical spare parts, including bearings, seals, blades, and drive chains, to reduce client downtime.

· Document detailed service reports, root cause analyses (RCA), and equipment logs.

3. Technical Sales & Business Development





· Act as a technical expert during sales consultations to evaluate prospective clients' daily waste generation and recommend appropriately scaled composting units.

· Draft accurate technical proposals, commercial quotes, and tender submissions outlining mechanical configurations and return on investment (ROI).

· Deliver compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations to corporate clients, municipal bodies, residential societies, and institutional facility managers.

· Analyze market trends to uncover current business opportunities within the green technology and sustainability sectors.

4. Client Coordination & Account Management

· Act as the dedicated bridge between the engineering back-office and the client from initial sales inquiry through installation and ongoing service delivery.

· Address client feedback, manage service requests (SLA execution), and systematically resolve grievances regarding equipment performance.

· Coordinate with internal fabrication, procurement, and logistical teams to guarantee project timelines and delivery metrics match client expectations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical field.

· Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on experience in the installation and maintenance of heavy machinery. Direct experience with organic waste composting machines, shredders, conveyors, or solid waste management equipment is highly preferred.

· Technical Proficiencies:

o Solid grasp of rotating equipment, gearboxes, heating assemblies, and basic automation (PLCs/SCADA interfaces).

o Skill in interpreting engineering drawings, isometric layouts, and electrical-mechanical schematics.

· Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and client relation skills with a demonstrated ability to simplify complex technical ideas for non-technical buyers.

· Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively for field installations, on-site repairs, and client business meetings.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
