- Administer and support CA ESP Workload Automation Scheduler in Mainframe environments.
- Monitor, schedule, and manage batch job processing to ensure timely execution of business-critical workloads.
- Create, modify, and maintain ESP job definitions, calendars, dependencies, and workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve job failures, scheduling conflicts, and production issues.
- Coordinate with application and operations teams for batch scheduling requirements and production deployments.
- Monitor daily batch processing and ensure SLA compliance.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA)
for scheduling and batch processing incidents.
- Implement and maintain job automation, workload balancing, and process optimization.
- Support disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning for scheduler environments.
- Manage scheduler upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation, job schedules, and runbooks.
- Ensure compliance with change management, audit, and security standards.
- Participate in on-call support and provide production support for critical batch cycles.
