Troubleshoot & Build

- Debug complex issues across the full stack, including legacy code with little or no documentation, and fix root causes, not just symptoms.

- Build and maintain custom plugins, themes and modules on CMS and e-commerce platforms such as AEM, WordPress, Shopify, Magento or Drupal.

- Design, build and consume REST and GraphQL APIs; integrate payment gateways, CRMs and OAuth-based authentication.

- Profile and improve site speed using Lighthouse, browser caching, CDN setups (Cloudflare, AWS CloudFront) and database query tuning.

Deliver & Protect

- Triage a live backlog of client tickets and prioritise by business impact, severity and contract deadlines, so SLAs are met.

- Ship hotfixes and scheduled releases to production through Git workflows and automated pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) with zero client downtime.

- Own P1 incidents end to end: diagnose, fix, communicate, and write up what happened and how to stop it recurring.

- Apply security and compliance practices day to day: OWASP Top 10, SSL certificate management, GDPR and PCI-DSS for e-commerce.

Mentor & Communicate

- Run constructive code reviews and coach SDE-1s so they grow faster and ship cleaner.

- Translate ambiguous client requirements into well-scoped technical tasks the team can pick up confidently.

- Explain outages and custom architecture to Account Managers and client stakeholders in clear, jargon-free language.

Requirements

- Experience: 5+ years in full-stack development, with real time spent on client-facing service or support projects.

- Languages & frameworks: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, PHP or Java; one of React, Vue or Angular.

- Databases: SQL and NoSQL, including query tuning.

- CMS & e-commerce: Deep, hands-on knowledge of at least one of AEM, WordPress, Shopify, Magento or Drupal, including custom plugin and theme development.





- APIs & integrations: REST and GraphQL, payment gateways, CRM integrations, OAuth.

- Performance: Lighthouse, caching strategies, CDN configuration (Cloudflare or AWS CloudFront).

- Delivery: Strong Git workflows and CI/CD with Jenkins or GitHub Actions; comfortable with zero-downtime deployments.

- Security: OWASP Top 10, SSL management, awareness of GDPR and PCI-DSS.

Nice to Have

- Experience supporting enterprise or multi-region clients under formal SLAs.

- Exposure to more than one CMS or e-commerce platform.

- Prior experience mentoring or leading junior engineers.
