Role & responsibilities

- Lead and manage end-to-end logistics, transportation, dispatch, export operations, and invoicing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and finished goods.

- Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch targets in line with business and customer requirements.

- Plan and monitor safe, efficient, and detention-free loading/unloading operations while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

- Negotiate freight rates and transportation contracts, and develop strong relationships with transporters, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.

- Manage movement of normal, ODC, hydraulic axle, mechanical trailer, and export consignments.

- Drive freight cost optimization initiatives through route planning, load optimization, and effective transportation management.

- Oversee freight billing, service entry, logistics accounting, and coordination with the Finance Department for timely payment processing.

- Manage SAP-based logistics activities, including delivery order generation, invoicing, freight approvals, and dispatch documentation.

- Lead export logistics operations, including customs clearance, ARE-1 preparation,



shipping documentation, packing lists, and coordination with customs and regulatory authorities.

- Ensure compliance with transportation laws, customs regulations, taxation requirements, and company policies.

- Coordinate closely with Sales, Production, Stores, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth dispatch and supply chain operations.

- Monitor logistics performance through MIS reports, KPIs, and operational reviews, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

- Develop, mentor, and lead the logistics team to achieve operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and organizational objectives.

Desired Qualification &

- Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.

- MBA/PGDM in Operations, Supply Chain, or Logistics preferred.
