Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced LoadRunner Enterprise (LRE) Administrator to manage the installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, and support of OpenText/Micro Focus LoadRunner Enterprise environments.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining platform availability, stability, security, and performance while supporting enterprise performance-testing teams. The role involves administration of users, projects, controllers, load generators, integrations, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

LRE Platform Administration

- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain LoadRunner Enterprise environments.
- Administer LRE Servers, Controllers, Load Generators, MI Listeners, and Analysis components.
- Create and manage projects, domains, users, roles, permissions, and access controls.
- Perform regular environment health checks and capacity planning.
- Monitor platform availability, performance, and resource utilization.

Infrastructure & Environment Management
- Manage Windows and Linux servers supporting LRE infrastructure.
- Configure and maintain host pools, load generators, network settings, and test infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, firewall, SSL/TLS, server, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, network, database, security, and application teams.

Performance Test Environment Support




- Provision and allocate performance-testing resources based on project requirements.
- Support workload execution, test scheduling, and test-run management.
- Configure and maintain distributed load-testing environments.
- Ensure controllers and load generators are available during test execution.
- Support performance engineering teams during critical test cycles.

Integration & Automation
- Integrate LRE with:

- Jenkins

- Azure DevOps

- ALM/QC

- Service Management tools
- Support CI/CD-based performance testing.
- Enable automated performance-test execution through release pipelines.
- Support scripting and automation of administrative activities.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Monitor LRE platform health, capacity, and system resources.
- Analyze application and platform logs to identify issues.

- Troubleshoot

- Controller failures

- Load Generator connectivity issues
- Authentication and authorization problems

- Test execution failures

- Database connectivity/issues
- Network and firewall-related issues
- Perform root-cause analysis and coordinate resolution of incidents.

Security & Compliance
- Manage LRE user access, authentication, roles, and authorization.




- Implement enterprise security and access-control standards.
- Configure and troubleshoot SSL/TLS certificates and secure communication.
- Support audit, compliance, backup, and recovery activities.

Documentation & Governance
- Maintain SOPs, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and administration guides.
- Prepare reports related to platform usage, capacity, availability, and incidents.
- Support operational reviews, governance activities, and audits.
- Identify opportunities for platform optimization and automation.
