Responsible for in-process quality inspection of CNC/VMC machined components, ensuring dimensions and quality meet drawing and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct first-piece, in-process and final inspection of CNC/VMC components.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances and GD&T; basics.
- Inspect components using:
- Vernier Caliper
- Digital Micrometer
- Height Gauge
- Dial Gauge
- Bore Gauge
- Plug Gauge
- Ring Gauge
- Snap Gauge
- Thread Gauge
- Check critical dimensions such as OD, ID, length, diameter, depth, hole size and thread.
- Identify OK / NG components and segregate rejected parts.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records.
- Perform patrol inspection during CNC/VMC production.
- Coordinate with CNC/VMC operators and setters for dimensional corrections.
- Ensure adherence to Control Plan, Work Instructions and Inspection Standards.
- Support 5S, Kaizen and quality improvement activities.
