Role Description

Team Counsel is hiring a Legal Engineer to sit at the intersection of law, process design, and technology. You'll support the integration of technology into legal processes, help build and implement legal automation and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) workflows, manage legal databases and documentation systems, and research legal tech tools. You'll work closely with the legal, growth, and leadership teams to improve operational efficiency, build scalable tech-enabled legal solutions, and contribute to knowledge management across the startup ecosystem we serve.

- Remote for now, with potential in-person collaboration as needed.

- Preference for candidates based in Bangalore.

Qualifications & Skills

- 0–2 years of experience — background can be legal, legal tech, business-law, technology, or a mix; no formal legal or engineering degree required,



but a blend of both worlds is a strong plus.

- Robust interest in legal technology, automation, CLM systems, and process innovation in legal services.

- Basic understanding of corporate law, contracts, or compliance.

- Comfort with (or eagerness to learn) legal research tools, documentation systems, CRMs, and no-code/low-code platforms.

- Strong analytical, process-driven problem-solving skills.

- Clear written and verbal communication.

- Comfortable working independently while coordinating cross-functionally.

- Ownership mindset and willingness to continuously pick up new tools/systems.

- Any prior exposure to CLM tools, contract management, legal ops, workflow automation, startups, SaaS, or tech-enabled consulting is a plus.
