Purpose/Objective

Lead - Security Automation & Loss Prevention is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the security automation and loss prevention team.

This involves maintaining of security equipment with highest availability and adherence to maintenance strategy.

The role requires design evaluation, implementing and maintaining security system and technologies, optimizing processes to prevent revenue leakage, and ensuring compliance with established security protocols.

The Lead also drives team performance, supports investigation and risk management efforts, and works closely with the Security Head to meet regulatory, financial and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Operational Support and Technology Evaluation: Oversee the deployment and evaluation of design parameters of security systems like surveillance, , radio communication, screening system (CTiX, XBis, FBS, DFMD, ETD, EVD, LED etc.

) access controls and attendance system, video management, radio active detection equipment's, QRT equipments, BDDS equipment and intrusion detection.

Ensure highest availability of Airport security control room like SOCC (Security Control Centre), AHCR (Anti Hijack Control Room) for smooth operation and optimum vigilance of the Airport.

Ensure maintenance (preventive, corrective and predictive) and up gradation of the installed security automations systems, applications, equipment and other technology assets, ensuring the highest availability and maintenance standards for security technologies and systems.

Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of implemented technologies and suggest improvements to meet operational needs.

Ensure implementation of regulatory orders, audit points for enhancing the deployed security system in Airport.

Ensure implementation of visitor access card management system, CACS system and the Airport Entry Permit System (AEP)



in coordination with pass section teams.

Team Leadership and Development: Lead the security automation and loss prevention team, ensuring the successful implementation of security technologies and processes.

Develop and update operational policies, procedures, and protocols to improve team performance and security standards.

Loss Prevention and Technology Integration: Collaborate with business operations and IT teams to deploy security solutions aimed at preventing revenue leakage / loss prevention and improving operational efficiency.

Ensure seamless integration of technology-driven solutions, such as data analytics and intelligent video management to monitor and reduce incidents.

Lead/ assist in security automation Project implementation at airports in coordination with respective stakeholders.

Incident and Risk Management: Monitor security risk assessments and ensure that mitigation strategies are effectively implemented to address emerging threats and risks.

Lead investigations into security breaches, fraud, and theft, ensuring timely action and reporting to senior management.

Budget and Resource Management: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the security automation and loss prevention budget, ensuring financial resources are optimally allocated.

Work with the Head of Security Automation to address any budgetary discrepancies and ensure adherence to financial goals.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:



Track and report on the performance of security systems and loss prevention initiatives to ensure KPIs and objectives are met.

Conduct regular reviews with the team to assess progress, resolve issues, and implement necessary corrective actions.

Employ a analytics driven approach to identify incidence trends and implement security technology measures for mitigation.

Technical Competencies

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Technology/Engineering in Electronics or related field Preferable to have Certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Qualified (CISSP/CCNA), CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Qualified), Project Management Professional and other related certifications.

Experiences: 10 - 20 years ( Depending on Site Complexity and Requirement) of work experience in in managing security automation, technology systems and loss prevention initiatives.

Preferably to have experience of deployment and managing multiple security systems (such as CCTV/ACS/ PIDS/ Screening & Surveillance systems etc) Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage site-level security operations.
