About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive International Business Development Intern to support our international sales and business development team. The intern will gain practical exposure to export sales, international market research, lead generation, customer communication, and business development in the food and agricultural products industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research to identify potential international customers, distributors, importers, and buyers.
- Generate and maintain leads through online research, LinkedIn, business directories, and other relevant platforms.
- Support the team in identifying new international markets and business opportunities.
- Prepare and maintain customer and prospect databases using Excel/Google Sheets/CRM.
- Assist in sending introductory emails, product information, quotations, and follow-up communications to prospective customers.
- Support the International Business Development team in managing and following up on leads.
- Research competitors, market trends, product demand, and pricing in international markets.
- Assist in preparing market research reports, sales presentations, and business proposals.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as Sales, Purchase, Quality, Certification, and Export Documentation when required.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, follow-ups, and lead status.
- Perform other business development activities assigned by the reporting manager.
