Role & responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end ETL, data warehouse, data migration, and data extract testing activities across multiple projects and releases.

- Analyze business requirements, source-to-target mappings, data models, transformation specifications, and interface/extract requirements.

- Define the overall Data/ETL testing strategy, test plan, effort estimation, execution approach, and regression strategy.

- Validate data movement across source staging transformation target outbound extracts/files.

- Perform complex SQL-based validation covering data completeness, accuracy, integrity, transformation rules, referential integrity, duplicates, nulls, and reconciliation.

- Validate full and incremental loads, CDC, historical loads, batch processing, restart/recovery, reject handling, and error scenarios.

- Lead testing of outbound and inbound data extracts, including CSV, delimited, fixed-width, XML, JSON,



and other interface/file formats.

- Validate file layouts, headers/trailers, record counts, control totals, naming conventions, data formatting, encryption/compression, and downstream delivery.

- Perform source-to-target reconciliation and identify data discrepancies across large datasets.

- Work closely with ETL/Data Engineering teams to perform root-cause analysis of data quality and transformation issues.

- Design and implement automation solutions for ETL and data validation, reducing dependency on manual SQL and file comparison.

- Establish reusable SQL queries, automation utilities, reconciliation frameworks, and regression suites.

- Support testing of data pipelines running on cloud and contemporary data platforms.
