We're seeking a highly motivated and meticulous Automotive Bearing Investigation technician to join our energetic Testing & Laboratory team. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end management of automotive bearing Investigation requests, to support activities related to field return product analysis using BI lab machines/equipment as per procedures and local work instructions. The goal is to identify the potential root cause through a process of systematic analysis with high quality and speed.
Key Responsibilities
As an Automotive Bearing Investigation technician, you will:
1. Product Analysis Support
- Performing activities assembly, disassembly of product samples as per work instructions or as instructed by the PIC Engineer.
- Sample preparation and collection of evidence.
- Marking & segregation of components for sample identification purpose.
- Assisting the PIC Engineer to carry out inspection on failure/product analysis.
- Actively participating in root cause analysis of customer complaints along with the PIC engineer.
2. Equipment & Inventory Management
- Preventive and corrective maintenance of machines and instruments and updating the documents.
- Supporting the PIC engineer in Calibration of Instruments.
- Ownership of general tools used for assembly and disassembly of test parts and some of the instruments used in the test centre.
- Storage of test samples, mating components, and tools, and labelling them to identify and maintain their status.
- Regular monitoring of consumables and spares and maintaining minimum stock level.
3. Lab & Safety Management
- Carrying out 5S activities (cleanliness) at the working place.
- Striving towards maintaining Zero Accident status at PIC by meticulously following the local EHS procedures/work instructions.
- Innovating and bringing new ideas to bring improvement to testing activities and procedures.
