Job Summary

Shanti Lab is looking for an experienced and skilled Lab Technician to join our laboratory team. The candidate will be responsible for accurate sample collection and processing, performing laboratory investigations, operating laboratory equipment, maintaining records, and following established quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine laboratory tests accurately and efficiently as per SOPs.
- Handle blood, urine, and other clinical samples with proper identification and processing.
- Carry out sample collection, preparation, processing, and storage procedures.
- Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers and other diagnostic equipment.
- Perform daily quality-control checks and ensure accuracy of test results.
- Identify and report abnormal, doubtful, or technically inconsistent results to the concerned senior/pathologist.
- Maintain proper laboratory registers, reports, worksheets, and other documentation.
- Perform equipment cleaning, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Ensure proper availability and storage of reagents, chemicals, consumables, and other laboratory materials.
- Follow laboratory SOPs, safety protocols, infection-control procedures,



and biomedical-waste disposal guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and discipline within the laboratory.
- Ensure patient information and laboratory reports are kept strictly confidential.
- Coordinate effectively with pathologists, doctors, collection staff, and other laboratory personnel.
- Assist in maintaining and implementing laboratory quality standards.

Qualification
- DMLT / B.Sc. MLT / B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant professional certification/registration, wherever applicable.

Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in a pathology/diagnostic laboratory is mandatory.
- Candidates with experience in biochemistry, hematology, clinical pathology, immunology, or sample processing will be preferred.
- Freshers are not eligible for this position.

Required Skills
- Strong practical knowledge of laboratory procedures.
- Good understanding of sample collection and processing.
- Experience handling laboratory analyzers and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to identify technical errors and follow corrective procedures.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Skilled and responsible approach toward patient samples and confidential information.

Pay: ₹9,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
