Role Description This is a full-time, in office L2+ Hitachi Storage Administrator role based in Mumbai. The role involves administering, monitoring, and optimizing Hitachi storage systems for enterprise environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity.

Day-to-day responsibilities include handling incident and problem management, performing regular health checks, capacity planning, and managing storage provisioning and deprovisioning. The administrator will coordinate with application, server, and network teams to resolve storage-related issues, implement changes, and support upgrades, patches, and firmware updates. The role also includes maintaining documentation, following ITIL-based processes, and contributing to continuous improvement of storage operations and best practices.





Qualifications

- Strong experience with Hitachi Vantara storage platforms (e.g., VSP series), storage arrays, and associated management tools.
- Solid understanding of SAN concepts, Fibre Channel, zoning, multipathing, and storage connectivity to physical and virtual servers.
- Proficiency in storage provisioning, performance tuning, capacity management, backup and recovery concepts, and data migration.
- Experience with enterprise operating systems (such as Linux/UNIX and Windows) and their integration with storage environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management in large-scale infrastructure environments.
- Ability to read and create technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for storage operations.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to handle L2 and above support tickets independently.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional technology and business teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant certifications in storage technologies or Hitachi systems administration are an advantage.
