We are looking for a Mumbai-based Junior Recruiter to support the recruitment team in delivering high-volume hiring for Barbeque Nation. The recruiter will work closely with the project manager to source, screen and coordinate candidates for frontline hospitality positions.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys candidate sourcing, telephonic screening and high-volume recruitment and can work independently in a fast-paced hiring environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Source candidates for Guest Service Associate and Range Chef positions across Mumbai.
- Use job portals, WhatsApp groups, social media, referrals, local networks and other relevant sourcing channels.
- Conduct initial telephonic screening of candidates based on role and eligibility requirements.
- Explain the job, compensation, benefits, location and accommodation details clearly to candidates.
- Coordinate candidate interviews with the hiring team.
- Follow up with shortlisted candidates through the offer and joining process.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and update the recruitment tracker regularly.
- Track candidate movement across Sourced → Screened → Interview → Selected → Joined.
- Follow up with candidates to minimise interview no-shows and joining drop-offs.
- Share regular hiring updates, challenges and sourcing insights with the project team.
- Support walk-in drives and local hiring activities in Mumbai when required.
Requirements
- 6 months–2 years of recruitment experience preferred.
- Freshers with strong communication and candidate-handling skills may also be considered.
- Prior experience in volume hiring/frontline / hospitality recruitment is an advantage.
- Good verbal communication skills in Hindi and English; Marathi would be an advantage.
- Comfortable making a high volume of recruitment calls and follow-ups.
- Basic knowledge of Google Sheets / Excel and recruitment tracking.
- Solid follow-up and coordination skills.
- Must be currently based in Mumbai.
