About Mikeangelo Design StudioMikeangelo Design Studio is an interior design and turnkey project studio working across residential, commercial, retail and hospitality projects.

We are looking for a motivated Junior Interior Designer & Site Coordinator to join our growing team and support both design development and on-site execution.

Role OverviewThis is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both design work and being on site.

You will assist with drawings, design development, material selection, documentation and project coordination while regularly visiting active project sites.

Site visits are a mandatory part of this role, with a minimum of 2 site visits per week, depending on project requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Documentation

- Assist in developing interior design concepts and design presentations.
- Prepare and modify AutoCAD drawings and working drawings.
- Assist with furniture layouts, ceiling plans, flooring plans, elevations and details.
- Prepare basic BOQs, material schedules and project documentation.
- Assist in preparing client presentations and design revisions.
- Coordinate drawings and information required for execution.
- Maintain organized project files and drawing revisions.

Site Coordination
- Visit project sites at least 2 times per week.
- Monitor work progress and compare execution with approved drawings.




- Take site measurements and verify dimensions when required.
- Coordinate with contractors, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, fabricators and other vendors.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions and report them promptly.
- Take site photographs and prepare regular progress updates.
- Follow up on pending work and material requirements.
- Assist the senior designer/founder with site inspections and client coordination.
- Ensure that design intent and specified materials are being followed during execution.

Project Support
- Coordinate between the design team, contractors, vendors and clients.
- Follow up on project timelines and pending activities.
- Assist in material research, sourcing and vendor coordination.
- Maintain project checklists and track outstanding items.
- Participate in client/site meetings when required.

Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience; freshers with strong practical knowledge may also apply.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Basic knowledge of SketchUp, Photoshop, Canva or similar design software is an advantage.
- Understanding of interior construction and materials.




- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Mumbai.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Professional attitude and willingness to learn.

Key RequirementRegular site visits are an essential part of this position. The candidate must be comfortable travelling to project sites and must be available for a minimum of 2 site visits per week.

Additional site visits may be required during critical stages of a project.
