Role Description This full-time, in office Junior Engineer Overhead Crane Operator role is based in Madhubani. The role involves operating overhead cranes and related lifting equipment to safely move materials within plant and yard areas, following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. The position includes conducting routine pre-use inspections of cranes and lifting gear, monitoring equipment performance,



and promptly reporting any faults or maintenance needs.

The junior engineer will support senior engineers and supervisors in planning lifting operations, coordinating with production and logistics teams, and maintaining accurate records of lifts and equipment usage. The role also requires adherence to all safety regulations, participation in toolbox talks and training sessions, and contributing to continuous improvement in material handling and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in lifting operations, including safe load handling, signaling, and adherence to lifting plans.
- Hands-on experience or training with heavy equipment and lifting equipment used in industrial or mining environments.
- Ability to perform inspections of cranes and lifting accessories, identify defects, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Knowledge of overhead cranes, their controls, operating limits, and basic troubleshooting.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Understanding of industrial safety practices, PPE usage, and relevant statutory regulations for material handling.
- Good communication skills, ability to follow instructions, and work effectively in a team-based, shift-oriented environment.
- Prior experience in steel, mining, or heavy manufacturing operations is an advantage; valid crane operator or lifting certification is preferred.
