Position: Junior Credit Analyst

About the Role

MPA Financial Services is looking for a Junior Credit Analyst to join our financial advisory team.

The role will involve supporting the team in evaluating businesses, analyzing financial statements, preparing financial and credit assessment reports, developing financial projections, and assisting in assignments related to debt raising, project finance, working capital finance and structured funding.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have prior exposure to a financial advisory, debt syndication, fundraising, project finance, credit appraisal or similar environment, as familiarity with lender/investor-oriented financial analysis and reporting will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Statements, Cash Flow Statements and other financial information of clients.
- Assist in conducting credit assessment and financial analysis of companies across different industries.
- Calculate and interpret key financial ratios including liquidity, leverage, profitability, coverage and working capital ratios.
- Assist in preparing CMA data, projected financial statements, cash-flow projections and financial models.
- Support preparation of credit notes, financial assessment reports, project reports and lender/investor presentations.
- Analyze existing and proposed debt structures, repayment obligations and debt-servicing capabilities.
- Assist in assessing working capital requirements and funding requirements of clients.
- Conduct industry,



company and financial research to support ongoing assignments.
- Review financial and supporting documents received from clients and identify missing information or areas requiring clarification.
- Coordinate internally for preparation of documents and information required for banks, financial institutions and other funding partners.
- Maintain accuracy and proper documentation of financial information used in reports and proposals.
- Support senior team members in ongoing fundraising, debt syndication and financial advisory assignments.

Candidate Profile

- B.Com or M.Com graduate with a strong understanding of accounting and finance.
- 3- 5 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates with strong financial fundamentals may also be considered.
- Prior experience/internship in Debt Syndication, Fundraising, Credit Analysis, Project Finance, Corporate Finance, Financial Advisory or related areas is preferred.
- Good understanding of financial statements, accounting concepts and financial ratios.
- Working knowledge of CMA preparation, financial projections and credit appraisal will be an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and positive working knowledge of PowerPoint/Word.
- Good analytical ability with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to understand businesses across different industries and translate financial information into structured analysis.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
