Role Description The Junior Advocate will support senior counsel in criminal, civil, and constitutional matters through legal research, drafting, and case preparation. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting pleadings, applications, and legal opinions; preparing case notes; reviewing documents and evidence; and assisting in client meetings and conferences.

The role involves appearing in courts and tribunals in Pune City under supervision, coordinating with clerks and court staff, and tracking case dates, filings, and compliance requirements.

The Junior





Advocate will also assist in legal aid and pro bono matters undertaken by the firm. This is a full time, in office role based in Pune City.

Qualifications

- Law degree (LL.B) from a recognized university and enrollment with the Bar Council of India or eligibility to enroll.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills, including familiarity with legal databases and case law research tools.
- Proficiency in drafting pleadings, applications, notices, and legal opinions with attention to detail and clarity.
- Knowledge of criminal law, civil procedure, and constitutional remedies, with interest in trial and appellate practice.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; working proficiency in Marathi and/or Hindi is highly beneficial.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, maintain organized case files, and meet court and filing deadlines.
- Professional integrity, client-centered approach, and discretion in handling sensitive and high-stakes cases.
- Willingness to learn from senior advocates, work extended hours when required, and actively participate in courtroom proceedings.
- Prior internships or experience in litigation, particularly in criminal or civil courts, is an advantage but not mandatory.
