We are looking for a Junior Accountant to assist the Accounts & Finance team in day-to-day accounting activities. The candidate will be mainly responsible for preparing and maintaining expense reports, checking supporting documents, passing basic accounting entries, and maintaining proper accounting records.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly expense reports.
- Record and maintain expenses with proper supporting documents.
- Verify bills, invoices, vouchers and other expense-related documents.
- Check whether expenses are properly classified under the correct ledger/account.
- Pass basic Debit and Credit accounting entries in Tally/Accounting Software.
- Maintain purchase, expense, payment and journal records.
- Assist in preparation of monthly expense statements and MIS reports.
- Reconcile expense records with accounting entries and supporting documents.
- Check outstanding expenses and follow up for pending bills/documents.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of bills, vouchers and other accounting records.
- Assist senior accountants in bank reconciliation, ledger scrutiny and basic accounting work.
- Ensure that accounting entries are recorded accurately and on time.
- Assist with basic GST, TDS and other statutory accounting requirements as required.
- Perform other routine accounting and administrative tasks assigned by the Accounts Manager/Senior Accountant.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Basic knowledge of Debit & Credit.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and policies.
- Knowledge of Journal Entries, Ledger, Trial Balance and Profit & Loss basics.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Basic knowledge of Tally / TallyPrime is preferred.
- Ability to prepare and maintain expense reports accurately.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to check bills and supporting documents.
- Positive organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Willingness to learn and take responsibility for assigned accounting work.
Working Hours: 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM Weekly Off: All Sundays and Alternate Saturdays
