A: MAIN POSITION CONTENTS

Purpose Support to Offshore Tender and Projects

Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Weather Downtime & Offshore Operations Analyst to support weather downtime assessments for offshore tenders and projects.

This role is an excellent chance for someone with early-career experience in offshore operations, marine construction, installation engineering, project engineering, planning, or offshore project support who is interested in developing expertise in weather risk management and offshore operational analysis.

The successful candidate will support the preparation of weather downtime assessments, analyse weather-related operational risks, and contribute to the continuous improvement of weather downtime processes, tools, and methodologies. Training and mentoring will be provided.

Success criteria Within the first years in the role, the candidate will:

- Successfully support the delivery of weather downtime assessments.
- Develop a solid understanding of offshore weather risk and operational constraints.
- Build strong relationships with tender and project teams.
- Contribute to improving weather downtime tools and methodologies.
- Progress towards independently managing weather downtime assessments for selected tenders and projects.

TASKS Primary Tasks Weather Downtime Analysis

- Support the preparation of weather downtime assessments for offshore tenders and projects.
- Assist in analysing the impact of weather and metocean conditions on offshore operations.
- Help identify weather-critical activities within installation and construction campaigns.
- Support the development of downtime assumptions based on operational requirements and environmental criteria.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing assessment results.

Tender and Project Support
- Support tender and project teams by providing weather-related input to schedules and execution strategies.
- Assist in evaluating weather risks and operational weather windows.
- Contribute to project risk reviews and planning activities.
- Support installation managers, project engineers, and project managers with operational analysis.

Continuous Improvement
- Assist in maintaining weather downtime models, databases, and assessment tools.
- Contribute to the development of weather-critical activity catalogues and operational criteria databases.
- Support comparisons between forecasted and actual downtime performance.
- Help identify lessons learned and opportunities to improve assessment methodologies.

C: QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE **Education/





Other mandatory** courses Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent qualification in:

- Offshore Engineering
- Marine Engineering
- Ocean Engineering
- Naval Architecture
- Civil Engineering
- Other relevant technical disciplines

Basic Understanding Of

- Offshore operations and construction activities.
- Project planning and scheduling principles.
- Metocean conditions and weather impacts on offshore work.
- Risk assessment and operational decision-making.

Knowledge of weather downtime methodologies is not required, as training will be provided.

Experience

- 0–3 years of relevant experience in offshore, marine, engineering, or project environments.
- Exposure to offshore construction, marine operations, installation engineering, planning, or project engineering is beneficial.
- Offshore experience is an advantage but not required.
- Experience in cable installation, pipeline installation, or EPCI projects is considered a plus.

Languages

- Fluent English
- (additional languages are an advantage)
