About Ilmeza Foundation

Ilmeza Foundation is a non-profit working to make sure every child can read, count and stay in school. Through our Weekend Learning Circles, we run free classes for children from underserved communities in Noida: children who are in school but falling behind, and children who have never been to school.

About the role

We are looking for caring, reliable volunteers to teach small groups of children (ages 6–14) every weekend. You don't need to be a trained teacher. We'll give you training, lesson plans and learning materials. What matters most is patience, consistency and a belief that every child can learn.

- Teach basic reading, writing and maths to a small group of 5–8 children, using simple, activity-based lesson plans
- Work with the same group of children every week, so they build trust and steady progress
- Help run fun activities such as storytelling, art, games and simple science
- Track each child's progress with simple assessments every few months
- Encourage children and build their confidence,

especially first-generation learners
- Attend a short orientation and training before you start, plus occasional refresher sessions

Who we're looking for

- Aged 18 or above: college students, working professionals, homemakers or retirees
- Comfortable speaking Hindi (English is a plus)
- Patient, friendly and respectful towards children and families from all backgrounds
- Able to commit at least 6 months, attending at least 3 weekends a month
- Prior teaching, tutoring or NSS/volunteering experience is welcome but not required

What you'll get

- A certificate of volunteering from Ilmeza Foundation
- Training in child-friendly teaching methods
- Hands-on experience in teaching, leadership and community work, valuable for careers in education, social work, HR and CSR
- A chance to see real change in a child's life, week after week
- A community of like-minded volunteers in Noida

Child safety The safety of our children comes first. All selected volunteers must:

- Complete ID verification and police verification
- Sign and follow our Child Protection Policy
- Attend a child-safeguarding orientation

Benefits:
- Flexible schedule
