ROLE PROFILE

Provide functional and business-process support for Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE E1) across the end-to-end supply lifecycle: demand and supply planning, MRP/DRP, purchasing and procurement, inventory, distribution and warehouse operations, and supplier / 3PL integrations. Partner with Planning, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Distribution, Warehouse, Manufacturing, 3PL providers and IT to improve supply availability, inventory productivity, purchasing execution, transaction visibility, standardisation and automation.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supply & Demand Planning / MRP / DRP

- Own the JDE E1 functional domain for MRP, DRP and supply planning, ensuring demand, inventory and planned supply are translated into actionable replenishment decisions.
- Support MRP generation, demand/supply balancing, planned purchase, manufacturing and transfer recommendations, planning messages and exceptions, lead times, safety stock, order policies, planning horizons/time fences, supply-demand inclusion rules and branch/plant parameters.
- Ensure sales demand, forecasts, inventory, purchase orders, manufacturing orders and transfer orders are appropriately represented in planning logic and supply recommendations.
- Partner with planners to improve planning effectiveness, reduce spreadsheet-based planning and manual overrides, and strengthen exception-based planning and supply continuity.
- Support multi-site planning scenarios across warehouses, manufacturing locations, suppliers and intercompany supply flows.

2. Purchasing & Procurement

- Act as the key functional IT partner for JDE E1 Purchasing and Procurement across requisitions, purchase orders, approvals, supplier/item purchasing information, blanket and contract orders, releases, PO changes/cancellations, direct and inventory purchases, receipts, supplier returns and PO close/reconciliation.
- Improve purchasing efficiency, PO accuracy, supplier performance and exception management while promoting standard JDE E1 functionality and consistent procurement processes.
- Convert MRP and replenishment recommendations into effective purchasing execution and maintain alignment between procurement, inventory and supply requirements.
- Identify opportunities to automate purchasing activities, approvals, supplier interactions and exception handling.

3. Inventory Management & Planning Master Data

- Provide functional leadership for inventory processes supporting planning, procurement and distribution, including availability, commitments, transfers, adjustments, lot-controlled inventory, inventory status, cycle counts and physical inventory.
- Improve inventory accuracy and visibility to reduce shortages, excess / obsolete inventory and planning distortion.
- Govern item master, item branch/plant, supplier/item relationships, lead times, safety stock, order policies/multiples, planning codes/fences, units of measure and branch/plant parameters.
- Diagnose inventory and master-data issues that drive incorrect planning recommendations, purchasing requirements, warehouse transactions or stock positions.

4. Distribution & Warehouse Operations

- Provide functional expertise across JDE E1 processes connecting procurement and inventory with warehouse and distribution execution, including receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, stock movement, transfers, dispatch and shipment confirmation.
- Partner with warehouse and distribution teams to improve inbound receiving, inventory movement, location accuracy,



replenishment, fulfilment execution and transaction timeliness.
- Ensure warehouse execution maintains accurate JDE E1 inventory balances and dependable supply information for MRP/DRP and purchasing.
- Support operating models spanning internal warehouses, distribution centres and outsourced logistics providers.

5. 3PL / WMS & Supplier Integration

- Own the functional effectiveness of JDE E1 integrations with 3PL/WMS, suppliers, EDI platforms, middleware and external procurement/logistics applications.
- Define requirements for purchase orders and inbound instructions, acknowledgements, ASNs, receipts, inventory balances and adjustments, transfers, fulfilment instructions, shipment confirmations and status/exception messages.
- Establish transaction controls, interface monitoring, reconciliation and exception-management processes to maintain alignment between JDE E1 and external platforms.
- Lead functional investigation of failed, delayed, missing, duplicate or mismatched transactions and coordinate sustainable resolution with technical, supplier and 3PL teams.

6. Process Improvement, Standardisation & Automation

- Drive continuous improvement across Planning, Procurement, Inventory, Distribution and Warehouse processes using current-state / future-state design and structured root-cause analysis.
- Reduce manual purchasing, planning overrides, inventory exceptions, supplier issues, receipt discrepancies and spreadsheet-dependent activities through standardisation, workflow, automation and better exception management.
- Use process metrics, analytics and AI-enabled capabilities where appropriate to improve planner productivity, procurement execution, inventory accuracy and warehouse performance.
- Promote standard JDE E1 functionality and scalable processes across sites and regions, minimising unnecessary customisation and local variation.

7. Solution Delivery & Production Stability

- Own and prioritise functional demand and enhancements across the assigned JDE E1 supply-chain domain.
- Lead functional analysis and solution design for configuration changes, enhancements, integrations and business-process improvements; develop requirements, functional specifications, process flows, test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with JDE technical teams, integration teams, vendors and business stakeholders through requirements, design, configuration, testing, UAT, deployment, training and post-go-live stabilisation.
- Evaluate upstream/downstream impacts across Planning, Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, Warehouse, Distribution, 3PL and supplier interfaces.
- Drive sustainable resolution of recurring production issues by distinguishing system, configuration, master-data, integration and process causes.

8. Time Zone Flexibility:

- Given the role's close partnership with Australian and New Zealand business and IT stakeholders, the position requires flexibility to provide appropriate working-hour overlap and support across ANZ time zones, while being based in India.

JDE E1 Functional Expertise

- 8+ years of hands-on functional experience with Oracle JDE E1 in Purchasing, Planning/MRP, Inventory, Distribution, Warehouse or comparable business-facing supply-chain roles.
- Deep JDE E1 Purchasing / Procurement knowledge covering purchase requisitions, PO management, approvals, blanket / contract orders, releases, receipts, supplier returns, PO close/reconciliation, purchasing master data and configuration.
- Strong JDE E1 MRP / DRP and planning knowledge covering MRP generation, supply and demand balancing, planning messages / exceptions, lead times, safety stock, order policies, planning parameters and planned purchase, manufacturing and transfer orders.
- Strong JDE E1 Inventory Management knowledge covering availability, commitments, branch/plant structures, locations, transfers, adjustments, lot/status control, cycle counting and physical inventory.

Supply Chain, Distribution & Warehouse Capability

- Solid end-to-end understanding of demand / forecast -> MRP/DRP -> supply recommendation -> purchasing / transfer / manufacturing supply -> receipt -> inventory -> warehouse / distribution execution.
- Practical knowledge of warehouse processes including receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, stock movement, transfers, dispatch / shipment confirmation and inventory reconciliation.
- Ability to diagnose how inventory accuracy, warehouse execution, planning parameters and supply transactions affect material availability, MRP/DRP and procurement decisions across multi-site networks.
- Strong knowledge of item, branch/plant, supplier, lead-time, location, unit-of-measure and planning master data that drive planning, procurement and warehouse execution.

3PL, WMS, EDI & Integration Expertise

- Experience integrating JDE E1 with 3PL/WMS environments, including functional design, transaction mapping, interface monitoring, reconciliation and operational exception management.
- Experience with JDE E1 supplier EDI / interoperability, middleware, external procurement platforms and other file-, message- or API-based integrations.
- Practical knowledge of purchasing and logistics EDI flows such as PO (850), PO acknowledgement (855), planning schedule / forecast (830), ASN / shipping notice (856), PO change (860) and receiving advice (861), or equivalent EDIFACT transactions.
- Strong functional capability in integration mapping, validation, business rules, error handling, transaction controls, monitoring and reconciliation.

Solution Delivery & Professional Capability

- Ability to translate complex Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, Distribution and Warehouse requirements into practical, sustainable JDE E1 solutions.
- Experience with business process workshops, current-state / future-state design, functional requirements, testing, UAT and end-to-end ERP enhancement delivery.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capability, including distinguishing system, configuration, master-data, integration and business-process root causes.
- Experience working across global or multi-site organisations and driving process standardisation and adoption of common practices.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across Planning, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Distribution, Warehouse, 3PL, suppliers and technical teams.
- Knowledge of workflow, automation, analytics, integration platforms and AI capabilities applicable to supply-chain operations is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
