Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid International Recruitment Officer role based in Ernakulam, with flexibility for some work from home.

The International Recruitment

Officer will support and execute student recruitment strategies across South Asia and other emerging markets, working closely with university partners, agents, and internal stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks include managing and expanding agent networks, coordinating recruitment campaigns and events, monitoring application pipelines, and providing timely updates and reporting to partner institutions. The role involves conducting market research, tracking competitor activity, and identifying new recruitment opportunities to align with institutional targets.

Officer will also engage with prospective students and recruitment partners, ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement of SSI Global’s international recruitment processes.

Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year of experience in the study-abroad industry, with experience in either B2B or B2C international student recruitment.
- Strong skills in international student recruitment, agent relationship management, and partner coordination.
- Experience in market research, data analysis, and reporting to support evidence-based recruitment decisions.
- Solid communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trust across cultures.
- Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills to manage multiple markets, deadlines, and projects.
- Relevant experience in international education, higher education recruitment, or education consulting is highly beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, international relations, education, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with UK and European higher education systems and international admission processes will be an advantage.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required. Knowledge of additional South Asian languages will be an asset.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for agent visits, university meetings, recruitment events, exhibitions, and other business activities.
- Comfortable using digital tools, CRM systems, student recruitment platforms, and remote collaboration technologies.
