Intern Immigration Counsellor - Only Immediately Joining
Position Overview The Immigration Counsellor Intern will assist senior counsellors in guiding clients through immigration and study abroad processes. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience, training, and exposure to visa and immigration services while developing strong communication and client-handling skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior counsellors in conducting client assessments and eligibility checks.
- Assist in preparing and organizing client documentation.
- Shadow counsellors during client meetings to learn effective communication techniques.
- Draft emails, letters, and simple case notes under supervision.
- Research immigration policies, study abroad programs, and visa requirements.
- Maintain updated records of client interactions and case files.
- Handle basic client queries via phone, email, or in-person with guidance.
- Participate in training sessions to improve knowledge of immigration procedures.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Good verbal and written English communication.
- Robust willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelors degree (any discipline).
- Interest in immigration, international education, or client service fields.
- Prior exposure to customer service or counselling (preferred but not mandatory).
