We are looking for an Interior Designer / Project Designer who can independently support and manage interior projects from design development through execution.
The ideal candidate should have strong design sensibility along with solid technical knowledge, and should be comfortable coordinating with clients, vendors, contractors and site teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop interior design concepts, layouts, material palettes and design presentations
- Prepare detailed working drawings, GFC drawings, furniture drawings and execution details
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, consultants and site teams
- Conduct site visits and resolve design and execution-related queries
- Prepare and maintain material, furniture, lighting and product schedules
- Assist with BOQs, specifications and project documentation
- Track project progress, revisions, approvals and pending decisions
- Ensure design intent is maintained during execution
- Coordinate samples, finishes and material selections
- Support projects from concept stage through handover
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or Design (B.Des – Interior/Spatial Design or related discipline).
2–4 years of relevant experience in interior architecture/interior design.
- Experience working on residential and/or commercial interior projects
- Strong understanding of construction details, materials and execution
- Ability to independently prepare detailed technical drawings
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Vectorworks is an advantage
- Working knowledge of SketchUp and presentation tools
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Organised, responsible and capable of managing multiple project tasks
- Solid attention to detail and willingness to take ownership of work
Preferred
- Experience with furniture detailing and custom furniture
- Knowledge of Vectorworks
- Experience coordinating directly with site teams and vendors
- Ability to independently handle smaller projects or defined project packages
