Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive IT Support & Linux Systems Administrator with 2+ years of experience to join our Core IT & Infrastructure Team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end administration setup, configuring and maintaining Linux server environments, supporting internal teams, and ensuring maximum system uptime, security, and performance across both localized office setups and cloud-hosted platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Linux Administration & Infrastructure SetupSystem Administration & Setup: Install, configure, optimize, and maintain Linux operating systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian) for enterprise applications and environment deployments.
- Server Maintenance: Manage user accounts, permissions, sudo privileges, system performance tuning, disk storage (LVM, RAID), swap management, and patch deployments.
- Service Management: Maintain core infrastructure services including SSH, DNS, DHCP, Web Servers (Nginx, Apache), FTP/SFTP, LDAP/Active Directory integration, and database servers (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Automation & Scripting: Write and execute Bash, Shell, or Python scripts to automate routine tasks, deployment setups, and system health checks.
- IT Support & End-User Operations Provide tier-2/3 technical support for internal teams and development environments, ensuring quick resolution of system, network, and access issues.Set up, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, Linux/Windows workstations, peripheral devices,



VPN access, and office network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).Handle ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow, or Zendesk) following strict SLAs for incident management and service requests.
- Networking & SecurityManage firewall configurations (iptables, UFW, firewalld), network routing, SSL/TLS certificates, and VPN connections.Execute routine security audits, system hardening (CIS benchmarks), vulnerability patching, and access control management.Monitor system health, memory usage, CPU load, and network performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Backup & RecoveryConfigure, automate, and regularly test backup strategies (Rsync, Bacula, or Cloud-native backups) for systems and databases.Assist in disaster recovery planning, data restoration tests, and root-cause analysis (RCA) post-incident.

Qualifications & Key Attributes

- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in Linux administration and IT infrastructure support.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Certifications (Preferred): RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator), RHCE, CompTIA Network+/Linux+, or AWS Cloud Practitioner.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional development teams.
