Perform and/or direct Routine / Preventive / Corrective / Breakdown / Shutdown maintenance and Minor/Major survey activities of all electrical equipment, HT/LT Switchgears, HT/LT Networks and lighting.

Operate and maintain electrical equipment including:

LV, MV & HV Motors

HT & LT Switchgears/Cables

Generators

UPS and Batteries

Battery Chargers

Protective Relays

Control Panels

Variable Speed Drives

Fire Water Pumps/Generators

Diagnose and rectify problems with electrical equipment, protection systems, HT/LT Switchgears, HT/LT Networks and lighting.

Collect equipment details of all types of electrical items from site drawings and catalogues for preparing data for input into e-BEAMS.

Carry out minor construction activities related to facility modifications.

Carry out electrical workshop activities and general housekeeping.

Assist superior in preparing electrical maintenance history.

Report events and activities to the concerned supervisor.

Attend call-out duties after normal working hours.





Qualifications & Experience

Six (6) years' experience, OR Secondary School + Two (2) years technical training or equivalent with Ten (10) years' experience in the Oil & Gas sector.

Knowledge of electronic circuits, microprocessors, variable-speed controls and PLCs.

Valuable Oil & Gas experience and knowledge of electrical equipment, switchgear and generators – installation, commissioning and maintenance.

Knowledge of control philosophies, power & control-panel wiring diagrams, loop drawings, cable schedules and area classifications.

Knowledge of hazardous-area classification and flameproof equipment.

Capable of completing assigned jobs without supervision.

Familiar with Oil & Gas industry HSE policies.

Special skills in the use of hand tools, power tools and precision tools.

- Fluent in English – speaking, reading and writing.
