Image Analysis Group (IAG) is looking for an Imaging Specialist with strong, practical #DXA experience in clinical trials.

DXA will be a key focus, particularly in osteoporosis (OP), osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), obesity and rare disease studies. You will also support studies using MRI, X-ray and other imaging modalities.

This is a hands-on role combining image review and analysis, site training, technical problem solving and collaboration with project teams and central readers.

What you’ll do

- Review DXA scans for acquisition quality, positioning, anatomical coverage, artefacts, protocol compliance and suitability for central analysis.
- Perform DXA analysis and measurements in accordance with study-specific procedures and your training and qualifications.
- Assess and resolve complex or atypical DXA cases, including challenging anatomy, positioning or analysis issues and questions about consistency between visits.
- Assess site equipment and workflows, train site staff, and provide explicit guidance when scans or submissions need correction.
- Carry out technical image quality review for MRI, X-ray and other studies, including protocol checks, queries and follow-up with sites.
- Work with Project Managers, scientists and independent readers to resolve imaging issues and improve image quality across sites.




- Review instrument quality control (IQC) data and support scanner cross-calibration, including phantom scan review, investigation of unexpected results and follow-up on equipment changes that may affect data comparability.

What we’re looking fo

- 3–5 years of hands-on DXA experience in clinical trials , including image quality review and analysis.
- Proficiency in handling complex DXA acquisition and analysis issues in OP, OI, obesity and rare disease studies.
- Sound knowledge of DXA positioning, scanner quality control and the factors that affect consistency across sites and visits.
- Experience training or supporting imaging staff at clinical trial sites.
- Working knowledge of MRI and X-ray trial workflows, with the ability to support their technical quality review and site queries.
- Clear communication, careful documentation and the ability to manage work across several studies.

A background in radiography, medical imaging, bone densitometry or an imaging core lab would be valuable. Relevant DXA certification is welcome. If you have deep DXA expertise and want to apply it in a varied clinical trial imaging role, please send your CV and a brief summary of your experience.
