IBM Order Management System Consultant - 3 to 6 years Experience

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

- Design, configure, and implement IBM Sterling OMS solutions based on business requirements

- Develop and customize order management workflows, business rules, and integrations

- Work on order lifecycle management including order capture, inventory visibility, fulfillment,

and returns

- Integrate IBM OMS with upstream/downstream systems (ERP, POS, warehouse management,

payment gateways)

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to order processing and system

performance

- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and QA teams to ensure solution quality

- Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment guides

- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices





Required Skills

- 3–6 years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Order Management (OMS)

- Solid understanding of order lifecycle, inventory management, and fulfillment processes

- Experience with Java, J2EE, XML, XSLT, and Web Services (REST/SOAP)

- Familiarity with OMS configuration tools, business rule engines, and workflow customization

- Experience integrating OMS with third-party systems (ERP, WMS, POS)

- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases

- Good understanding of retail/e-commerce order management processes

- Prior experience in retail, e-commerce, or supply chain domains
