Job Responsibilities
Take full ownership of HR management for the India Region; develop and implement HR strategies, annual HR plans, budgets, policies, and processes in alignment with business growth and HQ requirements.
Lead organization development and workforce planning; support organization design, headcount planning, and organizational effectiveness across Sales & Marketing, Service, and Manufacturing functions.
Build and manage localized talent acquisition systems; develop recruitment channels, talent pipelines, and key-position talent mapping to support business expansion and localization.
Lead compensation and performance management, including salary structure, market benchmarking, annual salary review, performance goal setting, evaluation, and results implementation.
Establish and drive talent development programs, including new-hire onboarding, training, certification, promotion, career development, and skilled-talent development for manufacturing and Service/O&M; teams.
Take ownership of employee relations and HR compliance; manage employment contracts, employee handbook, grievance and disciplinary procedures, and ensure compliance with applicable Indian labor laws and statutory requirements, including CLRA, Minimum Wages, EPF/ESIC, and Industrial Disputes Act.
Build and lead the India regional HR team; establish localized HR SOPs, reporting mechanisms, and management processes, and collaborate closely with HQ HR and Group COEs to implement global HR standards and initiatives.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
Work experience: At least 10 years of HR experience, including 5+ years in HR management or team leadership; experience in manufacturing, wind power, renewable energy, heavy industry, construction machinery, automotive, or related industries is preferred.
HR expertise: Strong knowledge and practical experience across HR functions including Organization Development (OD), Talent Acquisition (TA), Compensation & Advantages (C&B;), Performance Management, Talent Development (TD), and Employee Relations (ER).
HR system development: Proven experience in building or scaling HR systems, teams, and processes in a rapidly growing or newly established organization.
Compliance: Familiar with Indian labor laws and employment regulations, including CLRA, Minimum Wages, EPF/ESIC, Industrial Disputes Act, and related statutory requirements; experience with contract-labor agencies or unions is preferred.
Language skills: Fluent English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with an international HQ; Chinese, Hindi, or Marathi is a plus.
Management and communication skills: Strong cross-cultural communication, stakeholder management, team leadership, problem-solving, and execution capabilities.
Others: Willing and able to travel between offices, factories, and wind farm/project sites as required.
