Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Hospital Pharmacist with a minimum of 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience. The candidate will be responsible for safe and accurate dispensing of medications, maintaining pharmacy inventory, reviewing prescriptions, supporting clinical teams, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Dispense medications accurately against prescriptions and medication orders.
- Review prescriptions for appropriate drug, dose, route, frequency, duplication, interactions, and potential allergies.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication-related queries.
- Provide medication counselling to patients and caregivers when required.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and temperature control of medicines.
- Monitor medication expiry dates, stock levels, and maintain adequate inventory.
- Maintain proper records of medication receipts, issues, returns, and stock reconciliation.
- Handle controlled and high-alert medications according to hospital policies and applicable regulations.
- Participate in medication reconciliation and support safe medication-use practices.
- Identify and report medication errors, adverse drug reactions, and other medication-related incidents as per hospital procedures.
- Ensure compliance with hospital SOPs, pharmacy standards,



and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external pharmacy audits and maintain required documentation.
- Coordinate with the procurement team for medicine requirements and shortages.
- Maintain accurate patient and pharmacy records.
- Ensure proper segregation and disposal of expired, damaged, or recalled medicines.
- Assist in training and guiding junior pharmacy staff.
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and hospital accreditation activities where required.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a hospital pharmacy.
- Good knowledge of prescription interpretation and medication dispensing.
- Solid understanding of commonly used medicines, dosage forms, drug interactions, and precautions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Ability to work effectively with doctors, nurses, and other hospital departments.
- Good knowledge of pharmacy documentation, inventory management, and hospital SOPs.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with hospital/pharmacy management software.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends or holidays, if required.

Eligibility
- B.Pharm / D.Pharm / M.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the applicable State Pharmacy Council.
- Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience is mandatory.
- Candidates with experience in inpatient, outpatient, ICU, OT, emergency, or clinical pharmacy operations will be preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
