We are looking for a Senior Medical Coder with 1 to 4 years of experience in Emergency Department (ED) coding. The candidate should have strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and E&M; coding guidelines, ensuring accurate and compliant coding of medical records. Responsibilities include reviewing clinical documentation, assigning appropriate codes, maintaining productivity and quality standards, and adhering to payer and regulatory requirements.
Preferred candidate profile
- Experience in ED coding
- Knowledge of Profee and Facility coding
- Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS
- Solid analytical and documentation review skills
- Good understanding of compliance and coding guidelines
- CPC, COC, CCS, CIC, or equivalent certification preferred
