IPDRG Medical Coder – US Healthcare

Job Role: IPDRG Medical Coder

Department: Medical Coding – Inpatient DRG

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are hiring experienced IPDRG Medical Coders with strong knowledge of inpatient coding guidelines, ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG methodology.

Key Responsibilities

- Review inpatient medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM & ICD-10-PCS codes.
- Identify and assign appropriate Principal Diagnosis, Secondary Diagnosis and Procedures.
- Ensure accurate MS-DRG assignment based on clinical documentation.
- Identify CC/MCC, POA indicators and other factors impacting DRG assignment.
- Follow official inpatient coding guidelines and client-specific requirements.
- Review documentation for completeness and raise queries when clarification is required.




- Maintain required coding quality and productivity standards.
- Ensure compliance with coding and healthcare regulatory guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

- Minimum 1+ year of relevant IPDRG/Inpatient Coding experience preferred.
- Robust hands-on knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS and MS-DRG.
- Good understanding of Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology.
- Experience with medical coding tools/encoders will be an advantage.
- Good analytical and communication skills.

Mandatory Certification CPC / CIC / CCS – Any one certification is mandatory.
