We are looking for a senior On-Prem Data Lakehouse Solutions Architect to design a greenfield enterprise Data Lakehouse using an open-source / Apache-oriented stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end on-prem Data Lakehouse architecture
- Recommend the right stack across Spark, Iceberg/Hudi, Trino/Presto, Kafka/NiFi, Airflow, object storage, Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Define ingestion, CDC, storage, processing, governance, security and monitoring
- Perform infrastructure sizing for compute, storage, memory, network and growth
- Define HA/DR and deployment architecture
- Integrate with Power BI and enterprise security/identity systems
- Work with internal SAP team on SAP-to-Lakehouse integration
- Create architecture diagrams, implementation roadmap, effort estimates and proposal content
Required Experience
- 10+ years in data architecture/data engineering
- Robust experience with on-prem/private-cloud Data Lakehouse platforms
- Strong open-source/Apache ecosystem knowledge
- Experience with large-scale data platforms, preferably 100TB+
- Hands-on knowledge of CDC, HA/DR, Kubernetes/OpenShift and data governance
- Strong client-facing and architecture documentation skills
- RFP/proposal solutioning experience is mandatory
Nice to Have
- SAP S/4HANA integration experience
- Proxmox / VMware / OpenShift
- Apache Atlas, Ranger, OpenMetadata or DataHub
- Power BI integration experience
