About TapStockTapStock is building a technology-led procurement and fulfilment platform for interior, architecture and construction products.
We’re at an early stage and are looking for someone who can take complete ownership of procurement, vendor relationships and category development as we build the business from the ground up.
This is not a traditional Purchase Manager role.
You will help decide what TapStock should sell, which vendors we should work with, what prices and terms we should negotiate, and what inventory we should keep in our warehouse.
What You'll Own1. Category Selection
- Identify and prioritise categories TapStock should enter
- Evaluate demand, margins, competition and supply availability
- Build category strategy based on customer and market requirements
2. Vendor Onboarding
- Identify and onboard reliable suppliers
- Build 2–3 strong supplier relationships for important categories
- Evaluate vendors on pricing, quality, reliability and fulfilment capability
- Decide which SKUs should be stocked
- Build the right assortment for our initial ~2,000 sq.ft. warehouse
- Identify fast-moving vs. slow-moving inventory
- Continuously optimise assortment based on sales and demand
5. Replenishment & Inventory Planning
- Define reorder levels and replenishment cycles
- Work with operations to maintain healthy inventory availability
- Balance stock availability vs. working capital
- Reduce stock-outs, overstock and dead inventory
6. Vendor Performance Build and maintain vendor scorecards across:
What We're Looking For
- 5–10 years of experience in procurement, category management, sourcing or supply chain
- Experience in e-commerce, quick commerce, D2C, distribution or construction/interior products
- Strong vendor network and hands-on negotiation experience
- Experience managing multiple categories and SKUs
- Strong understanding of inventory, margins and working capital
- Comfortable working with data to make assortment and replenishment decisions
- Experience with procurement/ERP systems and inventory management tools
- Strong ownership mindset — comfortable building processes from scratch
- Ability to work closely with founders and operations in a rapid-moving startup

You want to build a category, develop the vendor ecosystem, negotiate better economics and ultimately determine what products should be available to customers and why.
You'll have significant ownership over procurement and category strategy as TapStock scales.
