Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the complete Mechanical Maintenance Department of the steel manufacturing plant.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure smooth operation and maximum availability of plant machinery and equipment.
- Handle maintenance of furnaces, motors, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, hydraulic systems, cranes, conveyors, and other industrial equipment.
- Identify mechanical faults, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop maintenance schedules and ensure minimum equipment downtime.
- Manage spare parts inventory, maintenance budgets, and cost optimization.
- Supervise mechanical engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff.
- Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Safety, Stores, and other departments.




- Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain maintenance records, reports, and equipment history.
- Drive continuous improvement, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Eligibility & Requirements

- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in a steel manufacturing plant or heavy industrial industry.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, equipment maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
- Experience in preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience in steel plants, rolling mills, or ferro alloy plants will be preferred.
